Kevin P. Lucas, D.D.S.
Dr. Kevin P. Lucas grew up in Arlington Heights and knew he wanted to become an orthodontist ever since he had braces as a freshman at Wheeling High School. He graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign in 1982 and received his dental degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1986. He continued his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated in 1989.
Dr. Lucas has been teaching orthodontics since 1990 at the University of Pennsylvania (an Ivy League school), where he is an Associate Professor. He completed the highest level of Board certification in orthodontics and was the recent president of the Chicago Dental Society, Northwest Suburban area. Dr. Lucas is very active in the dental community as founder of the Northern Illinois Dentofacial Study Group. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Illinois Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. He also lectures on adult orthodontics and interceptive orthodontic treatment.
Outside the orthodontic office you will find Dr. Lucas coaching baseball and football in Lake Zurich or at the Vernon Hills Glacier Ice Arena where he coaches hockey. He is a Board member of the Foglia YMCA and also participates in ice hockey, fitness, and travel.
Dr. Lucas and his wife Renee have three children.
